# FirstHome IQ

> FirstHome IQ is the housing industry's 501(c)(3) nonprofit, closing the homeownership education gap through research, education, and advocacy. 82% of NextGen buyers got little or no financial education in school, and only 1 in 8 trust a housing professional not to take advantage of them. FirstHome IQ publishes the annual NextGen Homebuyer Report (9,000+ millennial and Gen Z buyers surveyed since 2021, in partnership with National MI), builds free homebuyer education, and brings housing professionals into housing policy with the Mortgage Bankers Association. The work is funded by 160+ Ambassadors: mortgage and real estate professionals leading with education in 144+ cities.
